Example data. Replace with your own.The rules this counter applies
- 90 working days per calendar year. EU/EFTA service providers may post workers to Switzerland for up to 90 actual working days a year. The limit applies to the sending company and to each posted person. Beyond 90 days a work permit is needed.
- Simultaneous work counts once for the company. Three people working the same five days use five company days, and five days each.
- Only actual working days count. Days spent only travelling to or from Switzerland are not counted.
- Notify eight calendar days ahead. Weekends and public holidays included. Work may start earlier only in a genuine emergency, and never before the notification.
- Eight days free of notification, in most sectors, per calendar year. Construction, gardening and landscaping, hospitality, cleaning, security, itinerant trade and the sex industry must notify from the first day.
- Third-country nationals can be posted only if they have been admitted permanently to the labour market of an EU/EFTA state, typically with at least 12 months of residence there.
The counter treats Monday to Friday as working days unless you tick weekends, and does not know your public holidays or travel-only days; adjust the dates for those. It shows where you stand, not legal advice. Source: State Secretariat for Migration (SEM), online notification procedure.
